Multiple small structure replacements to close State Road 135 in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ind. - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving Inc. announces plans to close State Road 135 on or after Monday, April 10 for multiple small structure replacements.

The first three structures are located on S.R. 135 near Plattsburg between Plattsburg Road and Coats Road. The road is anticipated to close for up to 15 days, through late April. The duration of the closure may be extended due to weather or other factors. Local access to Plattsburg Road will remain open during the closure. 

The second structure is located on S.R. 135 between County Road 700 South and East Dearland Lane near Millport. The road is anticipated to close for up to ten days, starting in early May. 

During each closure, motorists should utilize the official detour which follows S.R. 250, S.R. 39 and S.R 56.

The contract was awarded to E&B Paving Inc. for $2.1 million in January and includes various small structure projects in Scott and Washington Counties. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
