Details: On Wednesday, September 7th, 2022, at approximately 9:26 pm, Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of State Rd 135 South and the Salem Bypass in reference to a single-vehicle crash with injury. Upon arrival on scene, deputies observed a light green Dodge Caravan that was off the west side of State Road 135, in a nearby field, that had sustained front-end damage.
Joshua Tungett, age 32, of Little York, was identified as the driver of the vehicle. Statements from the driver and evidence at the scene indicated that Tungett was westbound on the 135 bypass when he came to the intersection of 135 south. Evidence indicated Tungett failed to stop at the stop sign, proceeded into the intersection, and ran off the west side of the roadway. Tungett was transported to St Vincent Hospital for his injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening. Tungett was later transported to University of Louisville Hospital.
