The Washington County Sheriff's Department is hiring to fill multiple open positions within its team. Each position offers competitive pay and benefits, including insurance (health, dental, and vision) and paid holidays, vacation days and sick days.

CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS AND 911 DISPATCHERS:

- Starting pay of $37,400

- Benefits and access to the local health clinic

- 8-12 hour shifts, off every other weekend

JAIL COMMANDER:

- Starting salary of $57,000

- Benefits included, take home vehicle/fuel and cell phone stipend

- Directs all daily jail operations, reviews and evaluates jail facilities and programs, works with the sheriff to ensure proper operation and security of all jail facilities, among other related duties

MERIT DEPUTY:

- Salary of $52,980

- Benefits and a $1,500 sign-on bonus

- Applicants may reside in adjoining counties, but not more than 35 miles from the Washington County Sheriff's Department

- Applicants must appear at 8:00 am on Saturday, August 17, 2024 for physical agility testing and a written exam following the physical agility testing at Eastern High School Football Field in Pekin, IN
