Motor Vehicle Crash With Injuries.
On Friday morning, March 22nd, Deputies of the Washington County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to U.S. 150, near the intersection of North Road, in reference to a single motor vehicle crash with entrapment.
Upon arrival, Deputies observed a 1993 Jeep Cherokee off the south side of U.S. 150. The jeep was resting on its top. The driver was identified as Christian Rowls, age 35, of Hardinsburg. The front seat passenger was identified as Debra Poteet, age 41, of Pekin. The driver's statement and evidence at the scene indicated Rowls was west bound when he ran off the north side of the roadway, over corrected and ran off the south side of the roadway.
The occupants were extricated by members of the Posey Township Volunteer Fire Department. Rowls was transported to Baptist Health Floyd for complaint of pain. Poteet was transported to the same hospital for a possible broken arm.
Deputy Devin Hopkins is the investigating officer and was assisted by Sgt. Lucas Gray and members of the Washington County Ambulance Service.
